Antigua and Barbuda

Antigua is offcially part of the State of Antigua and Barbuda, which comprises the island of Antigua (an-TEE-gah), Barbuda and tiny, isolated Redonda. Barbuda lies about 27 miles (43 km) north of Antigua. The uninhabited half-square-mile (1.3-square-km) island of Redonda lies about 30 miles (48 km) southwest of Antigua. There are, at last count, more then 100 hotels and guesthouses on the island. Yet, for more visitors, it retains a relative simplicity of life, and provides a relaxed Caribbean experience. Some of the special things of Antigua are; Ruins of colonial fortifications and sugar plantations, Museums displaying ancient artifacts, Great dining, from pizza to Peking duck, Superb sportfishing, plenty of duty-free shopping, High-energy nightlife and golf!
